Sonja Bonin studied Philosophy und German Studies as well as  Applied Book and Media Sciences (Buch- und Medienpraxis) at Mannheim, Frankfurt am Main (Germany) und Rutgers, New Jersey (USA). She has lived in Switzerland, Germany, the US and China and is now based in Zurich (Switzerland). She works as a freelance journalist and translator.
